Tooth Connection Dental Information On The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Here at our Woodbridge and Pickering locations, Tooth Connection Dental recommends dental treatment based solely on each patient’s needs and overall well-being, not on what is or is not covered by insurance.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps eligible patients with a household income of under $90,000 by covering a portion of the fees related to essential dental services and preventive care.

Co-payments Are Required

A co-payment is the portion of the CDCP fee that is not covered and must be paid directly to Tooth Connection Dental. You will be responsible for paying the difference between the CDCP coverage and the cost of treatment at our office, in addition to any required co-payment, if:

  • The cost of your oral health care services is greater than what the CDCP reimburses, or
  • You choose to receive services that are not covered by the CDCP.

Before receiving oral health care, please speak with our team about any fees that may not be covered by the plan, so there are no surprises.

Renew Your Plan!

You can renew your coverage each year after you have filed your tax return and received your Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This confirms that you continue to meet all eligibility requirements.

If you have questions about your coverage, you may also contact the Government of Canada directly through their “Contact Us” page or by using their automated phone service.
